10 Million TL Investment from FISKOBIRLIK for Capacity Increase.

  2020-10-26

Saying that they aim to increase their capacity to 60 tons per day in 2021, FISKOBIRLIK Chairman of the Board Lütfi Bayraktar said, "In line with this, we are making a further investment of approximately 10 million lira."

Making statements about the ongoing production and new investments at their institution's Integrated Hazelnut Processing Plant (EFIT), Lütfi Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of the Hazelnut Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (FISKOBIRLIK), drew attention in his written statement to the strong demand consumers are showing for FISKOBIRLIK-branded products.

Saying that they have raised the daily production capacity to 50 tons with new investments, Bayraktar stated that their goal is to increase product variety and that production activities continue in a consumer-oriented manner without compromising on quality. Bayraktar conveyed that they aim to increase the number of products from 20 to 25 in 2021.

Noting that the no-added-sugar hazelnut spread has taken its place on the shelves and that they aim to increase the production volume with new investments next year, Bayraktar said, "Our goal is to revise our capacity to 60 tons of production per day in 2021. In line with this, we are making a further investment of approximately 10 million lira. All infrastructure work and agreements have been completed."

Emphasizing that they will continue to add value to Turkish hazelnuts, Bayraktar continued: "FISKOBIRLIK has been one of the biggest brands in the hazelnut sector for years. It is not right to see the Union merely as a brand that produces packaged hazelnuts. It is just as ambitious in hazelnut products as it is in the field of packaged hazelnuts, and it continues to be a pioneer of innovations in this area. As FISKOBIRLIK, our efforts to add value to Turkish hazelnuts and to create new employment opportunities will continue without interruption."
