He was born in 1968 in the Karasu district of Sakarya province. He completed primary school in Kirazli Village in the Kocaali district of Sakarya province, and his secondary education at Adapazari Atatürk High School. In 1989, he graduated from the Department of Tourism Management at Bursa Uludağ University. He subsequently completed the Faculty of Law at Konya Selçuk University in 2000. In 2002, he began his working life as a self-employed Attorney. He completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration at Sakarya University. He served as the Founding District Chairman of the AK Party in Kocaali. In the 28th Term parliamentary elections, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for Sakarya from the AK Party. At the FISKOBIRLIK General Assembly held on 01.12.2007, he was elected to the Board of Directors and has served as Chairman of the Board for 16 years. Lütfi Bayraktar is married and the father of two children.
